Bonn, Germany 21 July 2015. FLOCERT is pleased to announce we have entered into partnership with OCIA (Organic Crop Improvement Association) to benefit multi-certified producers in Mexico. The initial agreement is for a one year term, during which the two certification bodies will collaborate to provide combined auditing services for producer organizations that hold Fairtrade and Organic or UTZ certifications.
For multi-certified customers this means they will benefit from a pool of quality certification expertise at reduced audit times, as well as less administrative workload for certification of their organizations.
Initially the service scope will be limited to Fairtrade certified First Grade Producer coffee organizations in Mexico; and the results will be monitored and evaluated. Headquartered in the United States, OCIA is a leading organic certification body with a similar mission and values to FLOCERT, which makes the partnership a natural fit for both parties.
